The Empress has 102 bedrooms of which there are 3 luxurious executive suites, a number of executive sea facing rooms and a fantastic top floor penthouse overlooking the whole of Douglas Bay.

All bedrooms are fully equipped with all the comforts of home. Luxurious en-suite marble bathroom, complimentary refreshments, satellite television on latest LCD flatscreen televisions, hairdryer, trouser press, direct dial telephones and broadband ADSL internet access point all come as standard, and guests can order from the room service menu 24 hours a day.

Many of the 102 rooms have stunning sea views over Douglas Bay towards Onchan Head to the north and Douglas Head to the South.

Meetings:

The Connaught can accommodate up to 180 conference delegates and is ideally suited to product launches, training courses and private functions.

For smaller gatherings the Prince Albert suite is the perfect alternative with space for up to 60 delegates. In addition, syndicate rooms and breakout coffee and dining facility layouts can be arranged. Both Conference suites can be set up with equipment to your requirements.

We also offer a comprehensive unrivalled quality catering service for corporate and social functions requiring expert catering and staffing from small canapé selections to full silver service seated dining.

Dining:

The Empress is proud of the quality of its cuisine served in either of its restaurants.

The Connaught offers a superb selection of international cuisine including the old favourites mixed with the more exquisite. An ideal place to dine for two or that special party celebration. Aroma is a new addition to the Empress and is located on the lower ground floor. The format is simple, sumptuous food buffet style from different regions of Asia plus a Teppanyaki on an eat as much as you like basis. For casual dining, the Piano Bar is a popular alternative offering the main popular items from the Connaught plus a range of lighter snacks.

The Connaught and Aroma offer a standard of cuisine unrivalled on the Island and is renown for its quality food and superb service.

With so many people to please and so many items to organise, let our Wedding Co-ordinator, guide and assist you with the planning of your civil ceremony and reception. On your big day, an experienced Manager will be dedicated to the running of your wedding, ensuring your requests and wishes are carried out in full.
